Jasper Board of Public Works and Safety Meeting
Approved City Attorney Renee Kabrick to review an agreement with Boxer Girl, LLC of Indianapolis, who is developing the Jasper Cabinet area to create River Center, to use the flood mitigation area between Jackson, Main, First and Second streets for parking. Boxer Girl is seeking a long-term lease of the property from the city to redevelop the area into parking. Because the area is a flood mitigation zone, it cannot be used for anything else, and the parking surface must still allow water to flow out. The area would add 200 parking spaces downtown, and Boxer Girl would be responsible for upkeep and landscaping.
