Demolition of the remaining buildings, which will allow for 75 market-rate apartments and approximately 36,000 square feet of retail and office space with parking, is anticipated for March and will last approximately three to four weeks.
Hendrickson has been working with Cripe and Taylor Seifker Williams Design Group to design the commercial space, while CWC Latitudes has been assisting in the management of the project.
“I am excited to see River Centre moving into the next phase of development,” says Hendrickson. “I believe this project will be the hub of activity and economic growth for downtown Jasper and the Riverfront area.”
The River Centre project is a $30+ million investment into the local community, according to the developer. Along with the future Jasper Library and Cultural Center in the former Hoosier Desk building, it will be an asset to the downtown Riverfront area.
